Bandi & Nehru Jackets
A Bandi jacket (often called a Nehru jacket outside of India) is a traditional, sleeveless, button-up vest for men. It features a distinctive mandarin collar (a short, unfolded stand-up collar) and a tailored fit that sits cleanly over a shirt or tunic.
Historically rooted in the Indian subcontinent, the word Bandi derives from the Sanskrit word Badhnati, which literally means "to tie" or "to fasten."
